The Poksak Mission
Poksak is a for profit company with an environmental and social mission. Our aim is to help clean up the environment while striving to reach out to foster children in need of college tuition funding. With the help of our customers, foster children all across the U.S. will have an opportunity to make a difference in society. Please join the Poksak mission by purchasing a poksak reusable bag and making a contribution to the Poksak Foster Fund.
The Solution
The poksak is the solution to three problems: 1) the nuisance posed by the surplus of plastic bags hiding under our kitchen sinks; 2) the overabundance of plastic littering our environment; and 3) the inconvenience of reusable bags currently on the market today.
There are hundreds of other eco-friendly reusable bags on the market, but poksaks are one of a kind. The poksak reusable bag is small, convenient, and lightweight. Additionally, poksak totes feature large gussets and long, thick handles for comfort and durability. Our reusable shopping bag can hold at least twenty five pounds worth of groceries, which equals approximately two plastic bags. Most notably, the poksak is a pouch bag. The poksak literally stuffs right back into a small pouch… no larger than an i-Phone. This way you don’t have to worry about leaving your reusable bag in the car because it conveniently fits into your pocket or purse.
The Design

Since our goal is to sell you good-looking convenience at an affordable price, we ditched the leather bottom of our favorite tote bag, upgraded the colors, elongated the handles for easy over-the-shoulder carrying, attached an iPod-sized pouch (that way you’ll never lose it), and redesigned the reusable grocery tote bag to include a wide gusset so that the poksak can accommodate as much as two to three average-sized shopping bags.

"If it were not for OFA, I would not know that it will be possible for me to get a college degree. They have inspired me by supporting me not just financially but emotionally as well. I have great people in my life through OFA who I know I can count on in any situation!"

-Michael G., Lincoln University, PA
"OFA is a resource that provides not only financial stability for college, but also a source of nationwide family. OFA provides communication, which some of us in the program have lacked over the years. The best thing about OFA is that it doesn't stop after graduation, because everything that OFA has offered over the four or five year period will be in us forever."
-Sofia T., San Diego State University, CA
"OFA was one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I was able to attend the university of my choice and graduate on time with honors. OFA gave me the opportunity to work less and be a full time student, focusing my energy on my studies rather than worrying about paying my bills. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for this wonderful organization!"
